How to apply
The entire application is online — candidates register on the official portal, fill the form, upload documents, pay the fee online, and download the confirmation. Follow the numbered steps below carefully, because once submitted most fields cannot be edited.
The Objection Deadline for this application is 13 Jun 2026. We strongly recommend completing the application at least 2-3 days before the deadline — the official portal usually sees heavy load on the last day, and payment-gateway timeouts in the final hours can cause submissions to fail.
The application fee varies by category and is listed in the Application Fee section below. Payment can be made online using debit card, credit card, net banking, UPI, or any accepted digital wallet. Save the payment receipt — you will need it if the system requires manual verification.
1Open iiseradmission.in in your browser.
2Click 'Candidate Login' and enter your Application Number / User ID and password.
3On your dashboard, click the 'IAT 2026 Response Sheet' link to view your answers.
4Download and save the PDF for reference.
5To raise objections, click 'Answer Key Objection,' select the disputed question(s), upload supporting evidence, and pay ₹100 per question online.
6Submit all objections before 11:59 PM on 13 Jun 2026.
Selection process
The selection process is conducted in 4 stages: IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) — Written Examination, Final Answer Key Publication & Score Computation, Merit List / Rank List Declaration and Centralised Counselling & Seat Allotment. Candidates must clear each stage to be eligible for the next, and the final merit list is prepared on the combined performance across all stages. Detailed marking schemes, qualifying cut-offs, and any tie-breaker rules are listed in the official notification linked above.
